Biography

Marleen Pieterse

Born in the Netherlands, November 6th 1955

After a study at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague, I worked as a drawing teacher for nine years. During that time I was also a member of the Artists ' Association Arti et Industriae. From 1989 to 2007 I was a decor painter & designer. First at the National Theatre. When the art department was lifted, I started together with my college an independent Decor paint Atelier. For twenty years we worked for the theatre, film, television and all sorts of other projects. In 2007 I needed something different, something personal. The idea arose of "The Labyrinth". A place where I find things and where things find me. A new way of creating, sharing, playing and telling stories.

After a course storytelling, I started telling stories. At the summer soltice, at "Peeking at the neighbours" in Baarn with "Ruigkapje"and as a guide at the Prison Gate in The Hague. That's why they now get a place on my site. Little stories...
